From what I have read/been told the only thing you really need to change in order to make a big difference is turn the FISH ID setting OFF. I am not sure about changing the other settings. I have a Lowrance 522 iGPS unit, and I have only turned off the FISH ID feature. Everything else is factory.

The flyers have been in both games, havent been dominated the Flyers at all. I said PIT would win, but PHI will beat them up pretty good. Either way, PIT wont beat DET in the finals.

The crappie should still be relatively shallow right now. Look for them in the 5-10 ft range around weedbeds. Micro tubes, grubs spinners, and crankbaits are a must have. If you find schools of crappie/perch, try turing your boat around 180 degrees and throwing crankbaits and grubs for walleyes. They shouldnt be too far behind.

The Decals and Certificates are very nice this year. I just recieved 2 in the mail. Nice enough to be framed actually.

PHI will give them a run for their money, but I think PIT will come out on top for sure. And, just found out Timonen is gone for the series...so thats a HUGE blow to the PHI blueline. PIT/DET will be a great and HIGHLY skilled final!

So I found myself in the isle of the fishing section, debating to get PowerPro or Vanish. Do I go fluorocarbon, or braid? red or clear? 14.99 or 16.99.... I have vanish on my trout rods, which seems to be super tough and a decent line. I have never used PowerPro, but have heard great things about it. I decided to go with the PowerPro to give it a try. what are teh advantages/disadvantages of each, and which would you buy?
