  1. Bourque - 23 seasons Lidstrom - 15 seasons
  2. Disappointing?? He was 2nd overall in the league....right behind Datsyuk. Geesh, you have pretty high standards eh. If you dont think +40 is impressive, or that he isnt in the top 10 defensemen of all time.
  3. Sorry Johnny, stats dont lie.
  4. I would have to agree with Clamp-It. The norther shores of the lakes are warmer in the Spring time.
  5. AMEN!!!! There's a guy that knows what he's talking about.
  6. How so? The fans dont pick the winners of the awards. The winner is selected in a poll of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association. Lidstrom: 70 pts (lead defensemen) +40 (2nd overall in the league) Averaged 26:43 of ice time per game (4th overall in the league) Considering he has been putting up those types of numbers for the past 12 seasons.... Not to mention he has 938 points and is a +378 over his career... I would say that he is a deserving Norris Trophy Winner and one of the top 3 defensemen of all time.
  7. I think they are going by your advice....the series isnt over yet. I bet their celebration tomorrow night will be a little better.
  8. Changing your mind now?
  9. What is the warning screen? Have you searched the Lowrance website for the error code its giving?
  10. Are you kidding me? This will be his 6th Norris Trophy......only 2 defensemen have more...Doug Harvey and Bobby Orr. Then again, you probably think McCabe is a great blueliner as well, eh. There's a first for everything.
  11. LOL...ok I call you delusional if you think Pens in 5. Old archaic defense? By that you mean Lidstrom (who is one of the best defensemen EVER, and the Norris Trophy winner again), and Chelios (who yes, I agree with is useless). The rest of their defensemen are in their 20s. Laraque.....well, he can barely skate to begin with, so if he can catch any of the Red Wings, yes he should lay a beating on them. But DET is too disciplined to get roped into anything. Pits depends too heavily on their top 3 guys. You need secondary, scoring which they are not getting much of. Det has 2 lines that score, with a solid 3rd line that chips in a few goals, and a solid shutdown fourth line. They are the most well-rounded team by far. Not to mention Zetterberg and Datsyuk together are just as dynamic as Sidney and Gino are. Going to be a great series, and hopefullt I can grab a ticket to a game!
  12. If all else fails...try trolling with a crankbait that dives down 5-8 ft.
  13. Look for weedbeds in about 8-15 fow right now for walleyes. Jig + grub, crankbaits, live minnows/worms, should all produce.
  14. Taking the best team in the league (Presidents Trophy Winners yet again), to win the cup....doesnt seem that dillusional to me.
  15. Good point! I like Sid the kid, but he needs to stop his whining and complaining every time he gets hit. I would say he is the smartest player on the Pens, but not the most skilled. Sid is a setup man, Gino is the finisher. DET/PIT is going to be a heck of a series though!!! Its a toss up, but I say Det in 6. They are just too much of a well-rounded team. Best defense in the league, and one of the top offenses as well. I think there might be a few high-scoring games! Gonna be exciting!
  16. I just turn the date stamp off on my camera. Because I tend to print/frame a lot of pictures I take, the date on the picture just ruins it.
  17. Clamp-it...... HAHAHAHAHA
  18. Hey Scott, Nice looking fish ya got there! Good job.
  19. I fished Stoney Saturday morning, and did well for Walleye also.
  20. But if you pull the trigger.....so might your wife!
  21. You have some valid points about the business end of things...but..there are no shootouts in the playoffs.....
  22. I fish Stoney Lake all the time, and I have the Lowrance 522 iGPS unit. I would highly recommend it. Great unit, have had no problems with it, and its one of the more affordable units when your talking GPS.
  23. Bounce sheets really work?!?!? Just throw them in your pockets, under your hat etc?
  24. I didnt want to hijack the other thread on this same topic.... What would you put the settings at for Stoney Lake since there are so many shallow and deep spots? - Chart speed, Sensitivity, etc Cheers, *Stoty
  25. I will definitely take a look at those settings this weekend, when I am at the cottage. Thanks for the heads up on this, I just assumed since the unit was expensive, it would already be optimized.
