  2. Thanks guys, it was a blast for sure. I was hesitant about going out and targeting perch...but wow, I was impressed with the aggressiveness and the fight they put up! I literally thought I hooked into a bass when I had my PB on. I was shocked when I saw it coming up and it was a perch!! I enjoyed it so much, I think I will get out there again in the next couple days!
  3. In spirit of the Orillia Perch Festival, I decided to head out and try my luck at landing a monster perch from Simcoe (not in the festival) This was my first time fishing Lake Simcoe for perch, and I have to say that I am quite pleased with my results! Both my buddy Grant and I each set new PB Perch. Mine weighed in at a whopping 1.8 lbs, and his just under with 1.4 lbs. So far in 2010, I have set 3 PB's - Walleye, Crappie & Perch Let's hope the PB's continue! Here are some shots from today! Me with my PB, and another jumbo Grant with his new PB
  4. Thanks for the replies!
  5. Hey all, I'm looking to buy a good wide angle lens for my Canon Rebel XT, DSLR. I have NO idea about wide angle lenses at all, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
  6. LOOOOOL
  7. Great deal for sure...it was no accident. I heard that a BPS employee advertised his for sale..and got canned!!! LOL It was probably the same one that gave away the "insider information".
  8. This is a crazy game! VERY entertaining!! Cant wait to see who comes out on top!
  9. Now its even... No Savard, no Vanek. Let the best team win!
  10. lol....told ya! CT is HORRIBLE for this..... its unreal how mickey mouse their stores are run!
  11. Great deal....but...they won't have it in stock..
  12. The only reason Detroit doesn't look like the same team as last year, is because they never played with a full roster. Someone was always hurt, until a month left. See how they did in the last month?! Now that they are all healthy, look out!!
  13. Stocked up on PowerPro! Great price, for sure!
  14. WSH in 5 NJ in 5 PIT in 4 BUF in 5 SJ in 4 DET in 5 CHI in 4 VAN in 6
  15. Thanks to all of those who left positive feedback on this thread. Much appreciated! Maybe all the negative people are leaf fans...if my team didnt make the playoffs for like the 500th time in a row, I'd be pretty ticked off too
  16. Fang, that's wicked!!! Thanks for the encouraging words and for sharing that picture!
  17. Dude...your a Habs fan....there's NOTHING normal about that! BTW - GO WINGS GO!
  18. Dude...speaking from personal experience....I say DONT waste your time at the boat show. I was in the same boat last year, and wow, the "deals" at the show.....were hardly that. Maybe I hit a bad year, or the recession was at fault, or whatever, but the best a guy could do on a brand new bass boat for me was $500 off. He wouldn't even throw in life-jackets either. I agree with Grimace, the best deals are in the fall when people/places dont want to bother wasting money on storing boats over the winter.
  19. Very nicely said, and thanks!
  20. You betcha! Got a couple too!
  21. Funny you say that... that was us again!
  22. As much as I respect everyone's opinions....this thread has (yet again) turned the wrong way. I was just trying to share a really cool experience with everyone, and its turned in a flame Italo fest. Please refrain from "Italo bashing" in any further replies.
  23. I have nothing but nice things to say about him. He was a super nice guy, and sure knows his stuff! It was a blast and I cant wait to do it again, coming up soon for Bay of Quinte Walleye!
  24. We recently hit the water with Italo Labignon from Canadian Sportfishing to film the 2nd of a series of shows we’ll be filming in 2010. The focus of the show was finessing Crappie on slip floats on Lake Scugog in Southern Ontario. We had been out pre-fishing for a few days, and the action had been amazing. We had followed a number of schools of great Crappie that moved into a few key staging areas….mostly due to the warm weather we had experienced so far this spring. Well, when it came time to do the show, the weather was -2 degrees and it was snowing. So, do we film the show or wait a few days for the weather to warm up? Nah, we filmed the show.well, with a lot of fine tuning and tweaking of our pattern we managed to get in a fun filled day with 50 to 100 Crappie and a few GREAT slabs. The show was an amazing success and will air on TSN later this year; along with our 4 to 5 other shows. Stay tuned for more updates as the year progresses… in the meantime, enjoy the pics.
