I currently have an HDS-7 in my console and am getting my new HDS-7 unit in the next couple weeks. I have (tried) doing some research into networking them together, but can't seem to find much info on it. What do I need to network them together? Just one Ethernet cable between the two? Or do I need the LSS unit? Will they both read off 1 Navionics chip, or do I need two chips? Will they share waypoints and automatically update each other with new waypoints? Any help is much appreciated!

Well, with the beautiful weather last week, it was the perfect time to get the Ranger out of storage and get out and get some fishing hours on the newly open year-round Kawartha's! It was also a great time to get out with some buddies and do some fun fishing. Man oh man, the first two trips of 2010's softwater season didn't disappoint! We hit over 300 fish per day! Literally every cast! It was insane. By far the best Crappie fishing I've ever experienced. 90% of the fish were caught on the brand new LUNKERHUNT panfish baits, that are being released later this year. Hot colours seemed to be pink and red (see the picture below). Lots of little ones (5-8 inches), but also lots of great eaters (8" plus). Our biggest was 16" and weighing it at 2.1 lbs!! I've been out on Lake O the past two weekend for Pike...did pretty good last weekend (10 fish), but today was pretty slow (3 fish) due to the harsh cold front that moved through.

I was down there last weekend, and did pretty well. Managed 10 fish, ranging from 3-8lbs ish. No monsters though. I am planning on going Saturday again. Hopefully the big females co-operate!

Anyone happen to know what the conditions are like? Is the ice completely gone yet? What are the launch conditions like?

I was out on Niagara on Saturday, managed a few fish, but very slow day! The clarity was getting bad. It might be alright come Wednesday....

Crowe Lake up near Marmora has some nice ones. Rice doesn't have any Pike.

That's how I know it works...that's exactly what I did!

If you're going to use it...dont use it as a main line...... Find a braid with approx the same diameter, and use the Flouro as a leader.

With my experiences on the Bay of Quinte...Flouro is a MUST! Don't use it as the main line, but ALWAYS have a Flouro leader tied on. You catch more fish. We also use Segar, but again, only for leaders.

For sure they did. New Jersey with getting Kovalchuk, is HUGE. They are the best defensive team in the league to start with, and adding a 50 goal scorer just makes them an even bigger threat! Pittsburgh also added a lot of depth to their already strong lineup as well with adding Ponni and Leopold. The East is going to be a TOUGHT conference to come out of this year! Pitts, Washington and New Jersey could all come out! Also, kudos to Phoenix, they really improved their team!

What does everyone think about the deals so far, as well as the rumors flying around?!? Sounds to me like the Leafs just gave away Ponny to the Penguins. Thoughts?
