Its really going to hurt people who drive for a living like me. I dont get any compensation for my gas and I dont get an increase in my pay either, so my profit is much less than it used to be. These bloodsuckers can do whatever they want because they know we cant do anything and the government is raking in so much cash it will just turn a blind eye regardless. Prime Minister Harper said if gas hit 85 cents a litre he would axe the gst on gas, well it is well past that and has been for some time. Guess he is a typical politician after all. So we the consumers just have to bend over and take it once again.

Man now thats a sweet report, really makes me want to get out and do something like that and Im lazy . How do you find your way to these spots that far in the bush? I would be afraid of getting lost. I guess you have some good maps and a gps? Really looks peaceful and beautiful. Must be nice knowing that you are the only ones around for miles. Ever any problems with wildlife? Once again fantastic report.

Wow those are really nice looking, wouldnt mind giving them a try. Must save some coin too if you can build your own.

I think what you are tipping seems reasonable to me, I work for tips and I wish most people thought about it a little more often, this is how some people make the majority of their money. As for not posting much, I lived in Kansas for ten years and it definitely is not the best place to fish but I know there are some huge cats in the Kansas and Missouri rivers, it would be interesting to read a report on that. And also some of the lakes are good for largemouth bass. And I believe there is some good walleye fishing just to the north in Iowa in some resevoir. What part of Kansas do you live in? I lived in Bonner Springs, and Overland park areas.

Welcome Peps, I just joined the other day after trying for a while and I already feel like one of the gang so I am sure you will too in no time. Looking forward to reading your reports.

Congrats to you, I have a friend who smokes and has since he was 14, I wish he would quit because you can hear it in his breathing and his coughing. His mother died of lung cancer 3 years ago and everyone in his family smokes. I think it is really great that you are kicking this habbit, even though it is probably worse than kicking some drugs out there.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes guys and gals. And aplumma nice avatar, I guess thats a redneck hot tub of sorts? Hope there is no loose clothing around man that would suck. -
Nice looking carp, My buddy Jackel was out this past weekend on the St.Lawrence and he got a 33lbder. He also went tonight to Dows lake but not sure how he did. I really want to get out and try for these apparently when you get a big one they just take off and you hold on hoping he doesnt spool you. As for blurring pics, I certainly wont be.

Its nice to see reports like this one, it means that winter is actually gone! I love to catch pike, they give you such a rush the way they just pound your bait. Definitely use a leader. Nice pics, now go get that 30+. -
I went up for the opener with a couple of friends, we went to several locations but no luck at all, it seems there wasnt to much action. I think we were a week or so to early, the conditions were pretty rotten, cool and wet.

I am not a leaf fan but if the situation was reversed and the leafs were the only canadian team left, I would cheer for them. The cup has been gone way to long from where it belongs. But if they lose to Buffalo at least it will be to the team that stayed on top all year and not a choke job this year. I am very pesimistic when it comes to the sens but this year in the playoffs they look like a different TEAM, they are actually a team now. So I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Well I just joined and I dont see a problem with setting a minimum post amount for viewing stuff and I have only a couple of posts here. That being said I have never looked at someones pics andgone out actively searching the exact spot to fish. And I dont think most people do, but I guess there are a few as the other thread on this page says" I used your pics to find spots" or something to that effect. Anyway, I will post more than ten in no time so it really wont bother me one way or the other.

Man its nice to see people be so welcoming. And Jackel I am glad you joined this board too, its a much better place from what I have seen. I am surprised that it took quite a few responses to get a Sens crack in there. Thanks everyone for the nice welcome and yes when I do reports I will add lots of pics if it doesnt take a computer expert to load them here. -
We like to camp on Crotch lake. It is located about 45min, north of Kingston and about 1hr and a bit from Ottawa. Not to sure exactly how far from Toronto but well within the 4 hr mark. It is a beautiful lake with lots of camping spots. There are two lodges located at the south end of the Lake. This time of year (may 24 ) we always stay at Tumblehome lodge. The owner of the lodge is a great guy, very friendly and always willing to point people in the right direction to catch some fish. It can be a tough place to fish but if you get some advice you usually will be successful . My only suggestion is if you decide to go get there as early as possible because alot of people like to camp on crown land and the choice spots get taken quickly.

Hi guys/gals, I have been lurking on this board for some time now and decided to join a couple of weeks ago, but for some reason I had not received a validation e-mail so I couldnt post anything. Well today I did so now I can post. First off let me introduce myself. My name is Don and I live in Barrhaven a part of the Ottawa area. (let the Sens jokes begin) I have been a member of another board for about a year but things on that particular board have been going steadily down hill lately and it is just not fun anymore. I have a 16.7ft Alumacraft with a 75 merc. optimax. I was down on Quinte for the first time ever this past fall a few times. Once out with Eye-Tracker on Jan . 7, on this particular day my friend and I both caught new PB eyes, his was 13.2lbs and mine was 11.2lbs. Who would have thought, out on the water Jan 7th. Being out with Eye-Tracker at his invitation certainly was a privalidge as we both learned an awful lot about fishing the big girls in the fall. I am pretty sure I saw several OFC'RS that day as I read on here of a few who were in the same area. I hope to get to meet some of you and have decent chats with you as well. I love to be on the water, it is the one place I am at ease and relaxed. We try to get out camping or just away from the city every other weekend starting the may 24 weekend. Every Sunday I get the boat out somewhere for some fishing. I like to fish for pretty much anything thats biting, (EXCEPT PANFISH!) I hate sunfish in particular, bad memories of a hook through the thumb. My favorite fish to target are walleye and pike. I dont mind going for bass too. And if nothing else is biting I go for cats. The Ottawa river never lets me down for that. I am lucky to live in an area where there are so many options within a short drive. Anyway, I hope some of you recognize my name from the other board as I have seen yours on here and I am glad to finally be a member of the number 1 fishing board in Canada. Always tonnes of good topics and information and always lots of answers to questions and problems seem to be taken care of quickly before they get out of hand. Take care and I hope I can contribute.
