  1. FWIW? They are doing interviews this weekend.
  2. http://barrie.ctvnews.ca CTV Barrie Published Monday, April 21, 2014 1:39PM EDT A bear carcass has been found in Barrie near Anne Street and Vespra Street, just feet off the road. Police were called to the scene this morning, and say it looks like the bear wasn’t tagged, and may have been poached illegally. The bear appears to have been in a freezer; there was freezer burn on its nose and paws. Barrie police now have the bear in their possession and expect the Ministry of Natural Resources to look at the bear to help decide whether they need to investigate further. As of now, the person who dumped the bear could only be facing a maximum fine of $5,000 for illegal dumping. A pilot project is allowing a spring black bear hunting season starting May 1 in Northern Ontario. The traditional black bear hunting season opens in August. 3. Hit him in the pills with your stick. No penalty and you write a cheque for $5000.
  4. With a couple of drinks in him my cousin dances like that.
  5. Most of us had used mono all of our lives as well. Then we tried a superline.

  7. Unfortunately what is fair rarely plays a role in these decisions.
  8. But so are the people who claim to not know the difference between the two.
  9. Yep. Starts today. Tough one for participants, sponsors and organizers.
  10. Local article about this year's festival: http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/2014/04/18/new-challenges-at-this-years-perch-festival
  11. Same here for a superline. Braid on baitcasters and some spinning. Nanofil or fireline on spinning. If/as needed I then use mono or flouro tippets. For me that gives me the versatility I need/want.
  12. It's no Lake Algonquin but it does remind one of a Jonny Cash song.
  13. No argument here either. But Vegas is built on money from people who think stats like that are significant.
  14. I heard that one of those hovercrafts start at about $40,000.
  15. And there it was. The cynic in me says they've already decided what they are going to do and this is just window dressing. On the other hand, since both options are similar (IF the regs are followed) they might actually take the public's input into consideration.
  16. Interesting stat (that means squat). The last 2 times the habs were up 2-0 going home they lost the series and the team that beat them won the cup. Cains in 2006 and Boston in 2011.
  17. What makes it more frustrating for me is that Lucic is a big guy and wants to be thought of as tough. Tough guys don't do that. Little guys with big mouths do that type of thing.
  18. Lucic reminding everybody that Marchand isn't the only one who gutlessly uses his stick behind the play.
  19. Of coarse both teams are skating. They know that there is a 50/50 chance that every good shot on net goes in.
