  1. That's an excellent equivalency and bravo for holding yourself to the same high standards as the liberal media you hate so much. S l o w c l a p
  2. It even has a redneck anchor.
  3. From someone too insanely grotesque to have a photo of themselves in their avatar?
  4. Did a little more digging. A rod comes with 1 handle, 2 mid sections and 2 tips. The mid sections change the action of the rods; and the tips, the power. (That's what the catalog says, although I would think it would be the other way ) Giving you 4 "different" rods. They have casting and spinning outfits that come in a travel case. Cabelas.ca has them for $119.99 and $129.99. I haven't held one yet but I could also see these being an option for someone who isn't interested in having multiple rods for multiple situations. Anyway, I'll wait for someone to field test 'em first.
  5. Just saw a piece on what I think is a new product for travel rods. I don't know squat about it other then what I read from Fenwick but the concept makes sense to me on paper as I've been known to pack a few too many rods on trips. Fenwick Methods are travel rods that come with different sections that allow you to change the action/power of the rod. I'm not in the market for one but that doesn't mean I won't be in the future. http://www.fenwickfishing.com/Fenwick®-Methods/1315395,default,pd.html#start=2 Anyway, just passing it along.
  6. It's an absolute embarrassment how many discussions turn this way. Ideas? Ideals? No, shots at someone's looks. I'm all for ripping on politicians policies and actions but if you're not intelligent enough to articulate your opinions maybe you should be "seen and not heard". No wonder why many feel we're not responsible enough to have increased access to booze.
  7. Ya, I remember that when they first started I didn't need one for a couple of years. So '86 or '87 maybe? Inside that reg book it mentions the "new" 3 year outdoors card being introduced. It also mentions conservation licences and it appears that that was the first year for them as well. Prices (including 7% federal GST); Outdoors card valid for 3 years $6.00 Resident licence $15.00 (About $22.50 in 2014 dollars) Resident Conservation $7.50 No mention of the 3 year licence options that we have had for the last number of years.
  8. If people can't manage to get their drinks now, should we really make it easier? I like to have a few too but we're not talking about a life essential. And if it gets there, I wonder about guy working the night shift at the corner store dealing with the bozos looking for one more for the road.
  9. My mom found a box of my stuff in the basement and brought it over to the house. Remember when the regs were this size? Remember when you could get a copy of the regs?
  10. Naw, you need something with welds.... and that's when the fight started.
  11. And when the habs finish the rink in Laval they'll move the farm team there in 2 years leaving St. John's looking for another team.
  12. As a kid I thought that the Phil Esposito one was the most valuable because I had never seen/heard of him with #15. Mr. Hockey According to the web site this promo ran from 1934 to 1967. The ones my mom collected are from '64-'67 based on the wood panel boarder. http://www.beehivehockey.com/index.htm
  13. Bee Hive corn syrup promo hockey pictures: I've got a bunch that my mom collected in the 60's and of course there is a bunch of interesting info on the net about history of the promo. I'll post a few here as I go through them as well as some of the background if there is interest. I figure I'll put them in some frames and hang them in the rec room.
  14. The Bulls have played in the same olympic sized ice right from when they started back in the late 70's, Not sure if there is a new rink in the works but I'm guessing no, if they're being sold and moved. I'm sure it's good news for hockey fans in the Hammer but sucks for those in Belleville.
  15. First time I ever had bacon wrapped walleye was on a fly-in 3-4 years ago. One of the most delicious things I'd ever had. I usually like my walleye nice and simple and don't get enough to experiment too much, but a week of eating it was a great chance to try it a few different ways.
  16. I was kidding. I had no idea someone would intentionally put ketchup on chicken. I try not to judge but man, some things are just not done. and things would have gone down if someone put ketchup on a steak.
  17. On the radio I thought I heard it was $18k.
  18. Coincidence? http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/2015/03/10/police-looking-for-stolen-trailer INNISFIL – A trailer full of lumber is missing from a Thomas Street business after a theft early Monday morning. South Simcoe police say a transport truck and the trailer were stolen at 2:30 a.m. The truck, which has a GPS unit, was abandoned at 4:30 a.m. in Milton. The 48-foot trailer had Ontario licence plate F83 60N and was covered with two large Muskoka Transport tarps. Halton Regional police examined the truck and collected forensic evidence. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call South Simcoe police at 905-775-3311 or 705-436-2141 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
  19. I need to do a search about the Dr. Strange Love movie. I need to know what was learned. Great weekend. No trick to catching Nipissing walleye without bait though. No mayo, but ketchup for chicken? Someone is gonna get hurt real bad.
  20. Truest form? When was that? Late 1800's? 1920's? No forward passing and goalies not allowed to drop to their knees? Was it when there were 7 skaters per side and players, except for the rover, were not allowed to move into the other zones? Maybe it was all those years when ALL peewee aged players were not allowed to body check? It's possible that the league didn't just pull this decision out of a hat. We're talking about lower skill levels of one age group of kids. For quite a while no peewees in Ontario had body checking until they shifted the age bracket (which I think they've since shifted back???). Anybody watch a peewee game in the last 5 years? I did, the body checking was minimal. The charging, interference and boarding was substantial. The big Quebec City PeeWee Tournament, as well as numerous others are no body checking. Rest assured the world will continue to spin and Canada will produce elite level hockey talent in spite of ourselves.
  21. Waters are getting muddy here... And rugby does not produce more injuries than football, unless you're doing them both wrong.
  22. It's a shame when someone leaves their computer open a their 8 year old gets on it.
  23. What is the purpose of minor hockey? What is the purpose of body checking?
  24. How much day light are you working with at this point?
