  1. I'd be more likely to try wood glue with the cork saw dust. I think Outdoor Canada or Ontario out of Doors just had a cork handle touch-up tip.
  2. Anyone have experience with fishingtacklestore ? You can send me a pm.
  3. CP24 Headline: Man airlifted to hospital in critical condition after falling through ice on Lake Simcoe I can’t seem to share the link. ????
  4. Maybe I haven't focused on the musky/mustache aspect as much as I should have. lol
  5. Maybe I should have asked what worked best in your boat Rizzo.
  6. No doubt. Depth, action, speed and size are more important, but once that's all been sorted there is only so much that can be debated in the boat. 'Cept Marry Ann/Ginger. lol
  7. Barrie news tonight. Cars parked on near shore ice went through on Cooks Bay: https://barrie.ctvnews.ca/two-minivans-break-through-ice-on-cook-s-bay-1.5289102
  8. All my believers are natural colours (my bias). I do have a 8 inch silver with black. I've thought of painting one of them but can't bring myself to do it and the new ones come it some really nice colours that I can't bring myself to paint over either. How does that go? I don't have a tackle addiction. I have a storage problem.
  9. I've been looking at getting some Double D's and Triples. I've held off because I've used salt water x-raps and others to fill that niche and my lure collection out of control already, but my will is weak.
  10. I've got a couple (dozen) lures that haven't produced fish and that is what I've considered painting them. Jail bird stripes on one and skunk on another. Yellow/black is the other I've considered.
  11. No right answers and almost limitless options and opinions but this is something I struggle with. For most of my fishing because of "clear" water I tend to favour natural patterns. That's my bias, but for musky I know lots go with patterns and colours that are anything but natural and I do as well, but I still have a strong desire to go natural. Anyway, it's January.
  12. Ya, no trips to the states for a while for this guy. Florida in July was humidex of 44 celsius everyday and 35 at night. A/C worked everywhere we went is the only reason I'm still here. No fishing but I banked lots of points… or worked my way closer to net zero. lol
  13. Ya, I don't know I want to look at photos of me from that long ago.😲
  14. Those are some nice fish your son caught.
  15. My understanding is that while there are some there they aren't in the numbers that other lakes have. Having said that, maybe there are good numbers of them but the guys are keeping quiet about them.
  16. Irish with some genuine Helin flatfishes. There was a long period of time in my youth where all I needed was a frog pattern flatfish to catch all the bass, walleye and pike on Nipissing.
  17. I’ve got one fire tiger but it’s 6 inches long. Would the Mag Lip from Yakima suit your needs? They have a lot of those Great Lakes salmon type colours.
  18. I drive by twice every work day. What evidence is there of it being the out of towners? The city has been asked the same question. The city's has not answered.
  19. Where is the information showing it's "out-of-towners" that have put these area's numbers over the top? These municipalities have jacked their prices (for outsiders) and the lots are busy and the beaches crowded. That's locals crowding. Municipalities have lots millions in taxes and are clawing it back $50 at a time. The flip side is then there are less customers for all those businesses that rely on them to pay rent and taxes.
