  1. Tough to say anything when you're grinning ear to ear.
  2. Well jezz?! If all you needed was a camera man I could have done that. Nice fish Chris, good call on the change-up. It'll be your turn next time Cliff.
  3. [quote name='ketchenany' date='20 November 2010 - 05:26 PM' timestamp='1290291982' post='521836' Doest it cost more to generate in the daytime than at night? Hell, I worked the night shift many, many, many years ago; we got paid more! I'm sure the guys working nights at Niagara/elsewhere are not paid by the KW/h or they would want the mid-peak or on-peak shift. Supply and demand. During the day Monday-Friday offices, businesses etc are eating up power and many of our empty houses are using some power as well. Then at 5pm, give or take an hour, we go home; turn on lights, start cooking meals, running dish washers, dryers, air conditioners, opening fridges (at least that's where I keep my beer) surfing OFC and the power demand spikes. I think most brown outs happen around this time in the summer for that reason.
  4. http://www.660news.com/news/local/article/131673--home-depot-recalls-led-lights No safety issue, just a quality issue. The pita is that we bought the lights at a sale at hd and skipped the sale at another store. Now I guess we pay full price.
  5. http://www.thestar.com/news/article/893360--monster-leaf-sets-a-world-record I know, I know. Someone knows a guy who caught a bigger one
  6. Serious fishing, serious fisherman, serious fish.
  7. Remember when Chocolate bars where 20 cents?
  8. I'm not happy about paying more for something that I have to use but we have been told for years about ways of decreasing our electrical use. Most of us don't/didn't listen or don't/didn't care. We've made changes to the way we do things in our house... and after our next bill we'll be probably be changing a few more. Nobody is forcing me to surf the net while watching the game on my "big" tv. Go off the grid or sell electricity back the government... there's money to be made.
  9. Mexican and Mayan Rivera are not the same thing. Mexican Rivera is the West Coast Pacific Ocean, Mayan Rivera is East Coast Atlantic Ocean. Might make a difference... might not.
  10. I'll probably head down Saturday with my son as a test run for next years "spring" shows. I'll be solo, my wife goes down to Pennsylvania for Black Friday deals that weekend.
  11. A lot of bass anglers are using them as well.
  12. Genius often seems so simple in the end. Many of the bottled water bottles now have a reduced plastic cap that might be too small, but there are other plastic bottle options as well.
  13. http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2842197 By DOUGLAS GLYNN, SPECIAL TO QMI AGENCY Posted 7:00am Nov 12, 2010. MIDLAND -- The International Joint Commission (IJC) has directed the Upper Great Lakes Study Board to explore what the effects would be of raising the average levels of Lakes Michigan and Huron. The IJC directive asks the study board to undertake an exploratory investigation of how raising the Lakes Michigan and Huron water-level regimes by different amounts would affect interests on the Great Lakes system from Lake Superior to the St. Lawrence River. The move is a direct response to comments received during IJC public hearings last March about a study board report dealing with the St. Clair River's impact on water levels of the Upper Great Lakes. The report recommended that measures to remediate the increased conveyance, or water-carrying capacity, of the river "not be undertaken at this time." Public reaction at the IJC hearings -- including the one in North Simcoe -- was critical of the study board's recommendation.
  14. I've chagned my mind. The practice time used for that play was well spent. The kids can learn how to put their thigh pads on next year... tackling can be learned "in-game"... ball security is over rated...and the Bills are talking to that coach as we speak... because of his character.
  15. Nice fish!
  16. Like this? That's a pretty cool video Marty, but since when does the "dirt train" ride on field turf???
  17. The original list was for the last 75 years.
  18. Sorry prostar, we're not worthy. Like I said before, that coach is going straight the NFL. He is so proud that he tricked some kids.
  19. Forget knocking the kids head off, punch the ball out and go in for your own score. A play like that, at that level, stinks. Pro, college, even high school fair game, but they look like 8-10 year olds. I'm not sure if I'd be more mad if my kid was on the team that was tricked, or pulled the play???
  20. Here is what was said 2 years ago: http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=25089&st=0&p=262849&hl=American%20sport%20fishing&fromsearch=1entry262849
  21. Richard Peddie steping aside, or pushed out. I guess there are no more condos to be built.
  22. I always thought this was only allowed with permission from the DFO or some other government body.
  23. That's one classy coach, I bet he gets an NFL job out of it.
  24. I also found ignoring problems just seams to make them go away.
