  1. i love my shimanos, but the new rapala r-type baitcast reel looks/feels very nice.
  2. Not everything on bps website is in the Vaughan store. Website price is in us dollars which are still usually lower than what we pay here in-store.
  3. More delusional then can be explained. And a much better, and faster, typist then me so you "win".
  4. I'll stick to facts. Nearly 60% of the voters did not vote for this "majority". Nearly all of the that 60% is from the centre left. The conservatives received almost the same percent of the popular vote as the last election. Vote splitting and attack adds work. Anybody who thinks things are going to be "magically" fixed is more delusional than can be explained.
  5. Political stability??? The Soviet Union had 70 years of political stability. In of itself it is not necessarily a good thing.
  6. Consider what happened (and got caught doing) while in a minority. Is it a Chinese curse thats goes something like: May you live in interesting times.
  7. Time to buy more popcorn, and lots of butter.
  8. What to do when the made up excuses used for years are no longer available? A democracy always gets the government it deserves.
  9. I never thought of it that way. I'd actually like to see that because it would be entertaining.
  10. Small stream resident fish: Panther Martins 1 through 6 Steelhead: vibrex, 2 through 4 The colours will very depending on the water colour and sunlight, or lack there of.
  11. I voted at the advanced poles last weekend so I went fishing this afternoon when I got off work. Had a flash at the first pool I tried but that was it. Went quite a few pockets and pools before seeing any sign of another fish. It wrapped me around some wood and was gone before I was able to tell what type of trout it was. Finally a small brown from a small hole that I helicoptered my spinner into. First fish on my first rod made by spiel. A few spots later I got this small bow. He was about 14 inches. And with that I called it a day. Both fish were caught on a #6 panther martin brass spinner which you can see in the second photo.
  12. Just what the this country needs... another green party voter.
  13. Get it wet! Get it wet! Get it wet! And then show us more pictures.
  14. If you knew how to set your pages it would only be 4.
  15. That's not silt, but it does rhyme with it.
  16. Using expanding foam to fix damaged muskie baits. http://www.ontariooutofdoors.com/fishing/muskie/?ID=275&A=read Would the foam change the weight/action of the bait?
  17. This camera has strurgeon spawning right now: http://wolfrivercam.com/Shiocton%20Cam%202.html
  18. Busy night. One camera appears to be turned around and I think the sturgeon getting frisky with one of the others.
  19. So is mother's day. I participated last year and will again.
  20. You don't need a micrometer, and most lines will list the diameter of the line on the package, but you can usually tell just by feel if one line is thicker than the other.
  21. For jigging walleye I use less then 18 inches of flouro, sometimes mono still, connected with a small swivel. For just about every other situation I use a line to line knot because I find it is a huge pain in the butt to cast with 12 plus inches of line hanging from the end of my rod. There are two knots I use depending on whether the braid/leaders are the same or different diameters. I always mix up the names of them but a quick search will give you the knots. Some of the braids will have a list of knots that are recommend for their product.
  22. Agreed. I've met a bunch of great people all due to this place. I've shared a beer, or twelve, and fished with a few moderators as well. I also understand that OFC is owned by others and they are allowed to administer it how they see fit. I may voice my opinions on how I would like see things done, but that's about it. The strong connections and sense of ownership (right or wrong) help make this place what it is. Those same ties and feelings also create many headaches for the administrators I am sure. None of us is being forced to be here.
  23. Those spikes on the shin pads and helmet would help him "stick" to said tree and keep him from drowning.
