I retired when I was 53 and have loved every minute of it. My wife and I do what ever the heck we want, when we want, and we don't have to answer to anyone. If we decide on the spur of the moment to take a trip or book a cabin up north we just pack a bag and go.
I saw too many buds and family die before they retired and I sure as heck wasn't gonna be one of them.
I just wish there were enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do.
Life is GREAT !!!
I'd imagine it is Boss, there's lots of current flowing down there right now. Clear & Katchawanooka never did freeze last week and their the last 2 lakes draining into the river.
We used to do alot of sledding through the 80's and up till about '94 and I drove an 84 Ski Doo SS25
Can't find any pictures of it but it was identical to this one.
I started ice fishing around 60 years ago and after a few decades of staring down holes I figured just about anything had to be more exciting....even watching bowling on TV
Mike, if your little guy likes to take a break from fishing and lay down or play on the floor of the boat, be aware that vinyl will be very hot in the sun, so you'll need to take a blanket with you.
Just something to think about.
Not much you can do to stop the ice once it starts to move Cliff , other than stand back and watch the destruction.
I stood on the shore with a neighbor last April and watched the ice tear his very expensive aluminum dock to shreds.
Pretty helpless feeling for sure.
I've had wood, aluminum, vinyl & carpeted floors over the years Mike and prefer the carpet myself but it's all a personal preference.
If I bought another boat it'd be carpet.
