  1. I retired when I was 53 and have loved every minute of it. My wife and I do what ever the heck we want, when we want, and we don't have to answer to anyone. If we decide on the spur of the moment to take a trip or book a cabin up north we just pack a bag and go. I saw too many buds and family die before they retired and I sure as heck wasn't gonna be one of them. I just wish there were enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do. Life is GREAT !!!
  2. I saw my 1st & only fisher just down the road from my house a couple years ago and was surprised at how big he was. Never seen him since though.
  3. If your looking for LSC muskies I'd take outlaws advice.
  4. Xtang solid fold for me
  5. Never woulda guessed
  6. I'd imagine it is Boss, there's lots of current flowing down there right now. Clear & Katchawanooka never did freeze last week and their the last 2 lakes draining into the river.
  7. 462 and yes, it was a great machine in the day.
  8. Just replace that lamb with beef and you're all set Simon
  9. We used to do alot of sledding through the 80's and up till about '94 and I drove an 84 Ski Doo SS25 Can't find any pictures of it but it was identical to this one.
  10. Can't beat a big prime rib with yorkshires and mashed taters. And seeing as my Grandparents and Father all came from England it's quite fitting.
  11. You wouldn't buy a used car without a test drive...same with a boat.
  12. Yup, me too Steve, both are excellent reels that work great.
  13. I think I may even be smiling in the 2nd one Bill
  14. hahaha those pictures are great Norm, don't think I've ever seen them before.
  15. I know we had plenty of laughs at a couple GTG's up on Simcoe Brian and I hafta admit, those trips were a LOT of fun.
  16. You know your leaving yourself wide open eh Bud ??
  17. About the same level of excitement
  18. Lord knows you've tried a few times Brian hahaha
  19. I started ice fishing around 60 years ago and after a few decades of staring down holes I figured just about anything had to be more exciting....even watching bowling on TV
  20. That does look comfortable Old Man, but I'll still pass thank you
  21. Mike, if your little guy likes to take a break from fishing and lay down or play on the floor of the boat, be aware that vinyl will be very hot in the sun, so you'll need to take a blanket with you. Just something to think about.
  22. Standing on a frozen lake staring into a hole doesn't do anything for me...c'mon springtime
  23. TJ boated a huge musky by hand a few years back after his Abu came apart ...hilarious story.
  24. Not much you can do to stop the ice once it starts to move Cliff , other than stand back and watch the destruction. I stood on the shore with a neighbor last April and watched the ice tear his very expensive aluminum dock to shreds. Pretty helpless feeling for sure.
  25. I've had wood, aluminum, vinyl & carpeted floors over the years Mike and prefer the carpet myself but it's all a personal preference. If I bought another boat it'd be carpet.
