  1. The river does not bend to the right north of the icebreakers... It does though north of the dam.
  2. You can't be serious that you don't know any other way of holding a fish for a pic than by grabbing it by the gill plate??? Send me over your mailing address and I will send you a check for $2.00 so you can go buy a whool tailing glove. I suggest you look at some of the other threads on this board of how some of the more experienced steelheaders hold there fish for a pic and I think you will see its not by the gill plate while holding the fish vertical.
  3. Do I think... No I know you are harming them by holding them like that. Judgeing by the net on the ground which dosen't really look that fish friendly I can asume the fish was netted "which with that kind of net does more harm then good by removing slim and scales" layed on the ground pulled out of the net by the gill plate rinsed off so it looks clean of debree the held by the gills for a photo-op before being dumped back in off the bank. Please correct me if I am off on my accounts...
  4. Way to gill rake everyone of those fish
  5. You can get the Fugi folding hook keeper at angleing specialties for a buck I think but you will need them to wrap it on for a couple bucks extra.
  6. Nice van. For anybody else in the market Applewood Chevy/Cadillac has the Chevy version of that van on for $13,500 cash purchase brand new. They have about 7 of them lined up out front with the $13,500 price plastered accross the front.
  7. Not 100% sure but if so I would love to here the conversation to the guys insurence company were he has got to explain to them he sunk his truck through the ice out of country.
  8. Had to swing into the park on the way home today and snap a couple of shots...
  9. FYI, Nissan has contracted out the Titan to Dodge to build for them as you and the other 50 people who bought one didn't warrent Nissan to keep the assembly line open in its own factory. For frame flex, nothing is worse than the Tundra. That truck is down right dangerous to be driven with the tow/haul specs toyota lists.
  10. Wrong on all accounts??? So GMC/Chevy with there 403hp 6.2l V8 and Dodge with there 5.7l 391hp V8 don't have more hp than Tundra? GMC/Chevy offer 6.2l and 6.0l V8 and the 6speed tranny on allmost every Seirra/Silverado not just Denali. You can get 4:10 gears on allmost any 4x4 GMC/Chevy truck as well as Ford and Dodge. Was I wrong when I said Ford F150 has the best in class towing/hauling numbers at 11400lbs and also has a 6speed tranny? Was I wrong when I said Tundra has the weakest frame "only un-boxed frame in the ht market" of any half ton pick-up and has the smallest leaf springs? FYI your Tundra doesn't have a 4:30 rear end it has a 4:10 and that is only available on the Max heavy duty payload package not standard on all 5.7l Tundras and not available on 4.7l. Your average Tundra 4.7l V8 276hp, 313fpt, 5speed. $35000 Your average F150 4.6l V8, 292hp, 320fpt, 6speed. $38000 Your average Sierra/Silverado 5.3l V8, 315hp, 338fpt, 5speed, 6 available. $38000 Your average Ram 4.7l V8, 302hp, 329fpt, 4speed tranny. $37000 Top of the line Tundra, 5.7l V8, 381hp, 400fpt, 6speed. $54000 Top of the line Sierra, 6.2l V8, 403hp, 410fpt, 6speed. $54000 Top of the line F150, 5.4l V8, 330hp, 390fpt, 6speed. $53000 Top of the line Ram, 5.7l V8, 391hp, 401fpt 5speed. $51000 To say Tundras not selling because its more expensive is not the case. Toyota was running 0% and big rebates just like everyone else was in 08 and there priced almost the same as the big 3. F150 sales were over 400,000 for 2008. Sierra/Silverado sales were over 390,000 for 2008. Ram sales were 200,000 for 2008. Tundra sales were 115,000 for 2008. The North American truck market bought 1.1 million half ton trucks in 2008 and only 115,000 of those were Tundras so again, please tell me indepth how Tundras changeing the game and all my facts were wrong???
  11. Generally what your average new age Tundra owner is concerned about... Pick up trucks are not made to be race cars. Your 4:30 rear end is not standard equipment but special option on only certain Tundra configurations. Don't even need to get into the fact the the Tundra has the weakest frame and leaf springs in the half tom class. And just FYI the Tundra comes in about #3 on the hp list behind GMC 6.2l 403hp Seirra and the Dodge 5.7l 391hp Ram. As for 6 speed trannys I think the only one that dosen't have one in there truck at the moment is Dodge with there 5 speed. You beat Ford in HP but not in towing or hauling as they are still the class leader in the half ton market. 52000 F150's were sold in December of 08 in North America. 40000 GMC/Chevy. 29000 Dodge Rams. Toyota sold 9200 Tundras. The truck thats changeing everything??? Toyota may make a great car but they need alot of work on there trucks and it shows in sales numbers.
  12. Youtube is not my bible but I know the facts are hard to swallow. Just wondering if you did any real research about your Tundra before you bought it besides driveing it around the block? Were you aware of the documented camshaft problems, electircal failures, bed bounce problems, tailgate problems, exhaust rattle problems, seatbelt warning chim problems when you researched your truck? I know, I know... I know nothing about the tundra. Its only a year old, I should hope it hasen't been in the shop! I have driven the new Tundra about half a dozen times as I know people who own them. It rides like a suv because thats what it is. Ladered frame, not stamped "only full size truck that uses it" suv coiled suspension. The only difference between your truck and the Sequoia suv is the box on the back whick is going to end up cracking your back window under load because its ankered so well to your laddered minivan style frame. A truck that big and heavy sitting on a weak unboxed laddered frame with too soft suspension and weak leaf springs towing a heavy load on the hiway scares the hell out of me. Also wondering how you use your front tow hooks without ripping your bumper off??? As there mounted up and under the bumper of your truck. Yet another "inclass first" for toyota . Hey, I will be the first to say the tundra has power under the hood which makes up alittle bit for its look and overpriced price tag but real truck buyers know its not put together solidly thats why its dead last in sales in the 1500 segment in north america. And as far as north american trucks not haveing it right... If we don't have it right were the hell does that leave you??? Maybe the next redesign Toyota will let the engineer stay for a few more weeks over here and rent him a real truck to drive so he can see what its all about. Again enjoy your truck just please becarefull if you try to sit or stand on your tailgate as I wouldn't want to see you hit the ground and hurt yourself when it gives way. Tailgate problems... More tundra problems
  13. I will be sticking to my Ford/GMC vehicles when it comes to trucks for truck purposes, as the japanese are still deadlast. A big engine dosen't make a truck... Thats what Toyota with there tundra and the now discontinued Nissan titan are finding out. How can you buy a truck from a company that has no idea what there used for? The guy that designed and engineered the Tundra was braught over to North America for a whoping 4 weeks to better understand what a real truck was before returning back to japan to designed the new tundra. It shows what I guess he failed to pick up on here in a couple of these clips... Tundras great frame strength... The new Tundra is the most recalled vehicle in Toyota history and from what I have heard Toyota is still up to there eyeballs in lawsuits from owners who tried to sit on there tailgates and had them collapse as the designers forgot to engineer a tailgate that can hold more than a 100lb. Louis, sorry to here about the van bud. If you need a deal on a real truck for towing give me a call.
  14. Nice truck Tony! Welcome to the club... Definetly the best thing Ford builds. Did Aaron pick his new one up yet?
  15. As Solopaddler has shown me up at his place in Quebec, you can't go wrong with a jig on a new body of water... The results are delicious on a shore lunch .
  16. Maybe I am miss reading this wrong but are you saying a GLX/IMX graphite is the same as a GL2??? If I miss read this I apologize but if thats what your saying I don't have enough time to begin to tell you were your wrong. Your compareing Apples to Oranges...
  17. Check out the Nitto Terra Grapplers, I myself have not owned this particular model before but I have been running other Nitto models for the last few years and have been very pleased with them.

  20. I am sorry, I do not know what perspective you want me to have??? One of whats been getting work done here for the last 50+ years or the one of the worst selling "truck" on the market thats still on a first generation basis... What you are missing here is that the Ridgeline is NOT A TRUCK, it is a mid-size suv "Pilot" with a different body straped on it and I will tell you the same thing about the Chevy Avalanche as its pretty much a Suburban with a different body straped on. I don't care if the Ridgeline is manufactured on the moon it is still not a true pick-up truck. I just can't figure out why supporting what is owned, maufactured, designed and sold here "North America" is frowned upon. Oh and bye the way, if you like the trucks they are driveing in Afganistan so much feel free to join the Canadian armed forces as I am sure they can arange an upclose look at one for you.
  21. How you can call a Honda Pilot with a quote un-quote pick-up body on it a truck I will never know or be able to understand and of course the fuel milage is better with the Honda it's half the size of the ram and has a mini van engine in it.http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wallbash.gif http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/style_e...lt/wallbash.gif What makes a truck a truck is how its engineered from the ground up not the fact there's a bed in the back and yes your Honda was built in Orangeville but your money went overseas.
  22. I don't know whats so impressive about the new generation Tundra's??? Is it the fact they have the weakest frame of all full size pick-ups, that they have a crappy payload capacity, there gas milage is as bad or worse then all full size pick-ups, that mechanically the new generation Tundra has been the worst Toyota to date??? Oh I know what it is, it says Toyota on the door so it must be better.
