i haven't read the responses from the other members so if my "thoughts" are repeated i'm sorry ... i do prefer limiting pic-viewing to members only but there are some mixed feelings ... if we don't have a "minimum post limit" ... we would just get alot of people who sign up just to view the pics and not post but on the other hand, i remember when i first started fishing, i knew nothing and there was honestly nothing much to post. OFC has defintely helped me alot and made me a better angler. If we enforce a minimum post count then it would be tough to a lot of these "eager to learn and get better" beginners. i don't have a solution to this but that's what's in my mind.

Hi everyone! it's been a while since i have a report-worthy outing. Spent two hours at the Grand after school today for some carp action. I started targetting them late last year and before today's outing ... my PB was a 5lber lol. Here are the pics ... first of the day - 3-4lb range ... for some reason i always catch the tiny ones that no one's able to catch lol and here's my new pb ... a 12lber according to my berkley scale ... i've never handled a fish this size before so i'm struggling alittle ... you can see it on my face i just looked back at my fishing log ... these are my 6th, and 7th carp and i've gone out more than 20 times since i started targetting them. Sometimes it is frustrating but i can't be any happier today. Just want to take this opportunity to thank a few OFNer who has helped me alot - Photoz, Wolfville, MJL and Dsn. i read Snog's post regarding "blurring photographs" but i think it's unnecessery since we have a healthy carp fishery and there aren't that many people who keep them anyway. If anyone would prefer these pics to be "blurred", please let me know. to end off the report ... i'll show you guys what's a tiny carp haha ... it was caught when i went sucker-fishing 3 weeks earlier ...

i totally know how u feel too man ... i'm sure it'll get better! keep goin at it and u'll get a monster

father & son/daughter time is always amazing ... and it's even better when it's fishing

nice fish, it was crazy when i caught my first TO pike too... never handled such a big fish before and altho i didn't do the vertical hold, mine wasn't much better lol ... Great job!

wow ... i'm so jealous! spent 3 evenings targetting them at the grand and not even a single hit ... those are NICE FISH!

now i don't feel so bad for getting skunked all week at the grand ... nice bowfin and defintely a nice day out though, especially with ur dad i'm heading out tmr night for some crappie ... hopefully i can break off the no fish spell since last time i went out for suckers lol

i know eh 007 ... dsn seems to be able to find them all the time ... nice pics ... i tried the Grand today and got skunked

it also depends on where you fish most of the time ... some conservation areas don't allow gas motors ... good luck with ur search

nice report! ... i wouldn't mind the cats at all as long as they give me a good fight lol ... i can't wait to get out there ... stupid work

i forgot about it when i got home last night lol ... now you'll have to wait till tonight just for reference ... i think alot of the crappie caught at the opener this weekend will be bigger than my carp haha

LOL! thanks for the report minnow! it's just nice to catch some fish and "warm up" for the openers. i'll be heading out tomorrow...if there's no action... i'll put my hat sideways and see what happens haha victor

i'm doubtful about using sucker for carp bait ... they aren't big meat-eaters (although they do eat them sometimes)... but according to what i've been reading .. they should be good for pike ... and maybe as cutbait for cats?

urbanangler: who told you that there's going to be a 5th game? lol it's not possible to shut down VC .. but if we are able to hold down the other Nets scorers then it should be okay ... VC isn't kobe after all ... with bargnani back out i'm sure we'll do fine

lol i actually had a dream the other night ... i heard my bite alarm go crazy ... picked up my rod and fish on ... but i woke up not too long after that ....
