You could take a old electric heating element of some kind and make your own "small" smoker....you could even use a large cardboard box to do it....it's really up to your imagination if you only want a small smoker. Small is limiting you too much......but I guess you need a small one for space restrictions or something....but if you can get a combo smoker/grill you are so much better off....here's just one of three of my grills on my deck and this one is also my smoker. It's the kids...... I have OLD still fine reels that I still use like my Daiwa BG10 and BG13 that spent over 25 years in the garage without any heat or maintence to speak of.

I believe the people in the Buffalo area are upset of losing 9 years while negotiating with BPS and even now another year has passed and nothing is being done there or anywhere else on the waterfront because BPS held thing up. Had BPS not signed a "letter of intent" to build there, there might well be something there now as a great opportunity was lost during some of the BEST economy times during all these negotiations with BPS. It would be like me saying I going to buy your house and I keep putting it off until the real estate market crashes and then say GOODBYE to you.

Canada doesn't have a monopoly on incompetent elected officials.

BPS is a checkout girl when it comes to just about anything..... Here in Buffalo they promised to build a store on the waterfront for NINE YEARS....the city knocked down the old Aud to make room for them......and all the city got in return was more and more and more promises and design photos of what it was going to look like when finished from BPS....BPS kept trying to milk MORE and MORE public tax dollars from the state, county and City of Buffalo....over 127 MILLION dollars was promised to BPS but they never did sign on the dotted line....to me that's a lot of public dollars to build a bait shop... BPS is known to do this all around the country with different states and cities.......it could be possible that they are working the Providence of Ontario for tax shelters or even free tax money to stay open....it would not surprise me. Now for those who wish they had a Gander Mountain....better known as Expensive Mountain around here.....watch what you wish for.....they are the WORST I have ever seen.....the store is quite big but nowhere as big as a BPS or Cabela's.....but they don't have any employees working there to speak of......they don't even keep 1 cash register open now....if you want to cash out you have to go to the customer service desk where the 2 out of maybe 4 employees are in the whole store....it's a real joke in there....drug stores have more people working in them then our Gander Mountain Store. Cabela's would be a great assets but I hope they NEVER come to NYS....then I would have to pay sales tax on everything I purchase from them and that's at 8.75% right now....they always have free shipping or some other kind of deal so I don't pay for shipping and their BARGAIN CAVE is to die for.... ....and Cabela's customer service is second to none. BEST advice I can say now is.....the Mods should pin this thread as it WILL come up again next year and the year after and the year after and the year after.....

I will have to keep that in mind..... I pretty sure I'm going to go with the Lazer 5" size......but will wait for a end of the year sale....and also taking another look at that Finn III but they don't seem to be available on Ebay down here.

It could very well be a multiple answers to these questions depending on your particular insurance company and your particular insurance policy....you can get insurance to cover ANYTHING if you're willing to pay for that coverage.

However, people get charged with ALL kinds of things after a accident and they are still covered by their insurance company...speeding, reckless driving, DWI, DUI.....etc......

Leechman, nice report and thank you for taking the time to add pics, etc........but can I suggest a couple of things from experience......treble hooks are your worst enemy when dealing with large trout and salmon.....what happens is one hook gets stuck in the upper jaw and another hook gets stuck in the lower jaw....then these extremely strong fish use their mouths to straighten out those treble hooks....if you just have a single hook in their mouth/jaw they can't use the hook against itself to straight it out....when I seriously fished Lake Ontario I removed all my trebles off my flutter spoons and replace them with strong carbon single hooks....most other guys did the same. The other thing that concerns me a "little" if you are having fish rip off the hooks is the use of Power Pro line....these super lines that have no stretch also don't give you any give/stretch like mono does....once a large fish is hooked, mono acts somewhat like a shock absorber when a large fish takes that unexpected run....this stretch is built into the line and really does compensate for our mistakes on the end of the rod.....this is why most large fish break off near the boat....with very little line now between the fish and the rod there is NOT much stretch going to happen when that large fish takes it's last run boat side....if the angler is not ready to back reel and there is a week spot in the line or how the hook is in the mouth...well then, we have all been there watching that trophy swim off....
