  1. Does pike meat ever get worms?
  2. Suffix siege has never let me down. More supple than Berkeley IMHO
  3. Never heard of this one before. I hear handling oranges leaves a scent on the fingers that fish don't like. Not sure if there is any truth to this though.
  4. Enjoyed the video
  5. Them some monsters for sure!!! Btw, what type of leader you using? It looks nice and thin
  6. This one brand of swimbaits has sold out on every item on their website and apparently when new stock is available, it is gone within minutes. This type of demand vs limited supply is the first I've ever heard of relating to the fishing industry.
  7. I should have clarified, swimbaits in the 2oz plus range
  8. I know in the US they like throwing big swim baits for bass ex: Huddleston trout, but anyone here using or tried this technique ? What kind of results did you have? During my search for swimbait info, I learned how expensive some were going for. Pretty nuts to think a pike could bite off a $200-$400 hard swimbait.
  9. When jerk, jerk, pause technique is used outside of fishing..........
  10. Imma grab me some Stanley ribbits. I watched the videos and they look great.
  11. That would fix the right side up issue but the action on the legs is another story. Feels more like ur dragging the frog vs swimming it. I've heard good things about the zoom, I'll definitely give them a try this year. Any other suggestions?
  12. Which horny toad frogs are u guys using. I bought a pack of triggerX frogs and although the quality is good, they preformed horribly. They don't swim straight and constantly twist and turn (roll upsidedown). I read similar reviews so I know I'm not alone. Lets hear some recommendations. Thx
  13. Super excited about the dx 742c full handle I just ordered. Now for the painful waiting game
  14. Great first report. I remember a regular at grenadier pond who constantly used Berkeley tiny pink grubs. Could this be you?
  15. Nothing beats bass/pike on a jerk bait bite. OSP jerk baits are my fav!
  16. After reading this thread I wasn't expecting my card to come for awhile but to my surprise it arrived today. I purchased it a week ago.
  17. Does the ice disappear from the middle of the lake towards the shore or the other way around? Silly question but I've never been around an iced lake to observe. Thanks
  18. zero views when I clicked on this lol be patient and maybe a spot will pop up. good luck
  19. I appreciate the reply Rick. I did a search on the 2 lakes and I've decided to try dalrymple lake. Not keeping any of the fish so I'll be happy with catching a few hammer handle pike and bass if I'm lucky.
  20. Hi everyone, Please help me decide between Canal lake and Dalrymple lake. If you had a day to fish, which of the 2 would you pick? Thanks for any help
  21. 8lb suffix siege is a great line that's very durable
  22. Thanks for the pictures. I definately caught a bowfin today.
  23. first of, are bowfin the same as snakehead? I caught one today on the lakeshore and didn't know weather to kill it or put it back. I wasn't sure so I put it back. I remember hearing that they are invasive and the MNR wanted us to discard them if caught. Can anyone shed some light? TIA
  24. Big thanks to Ah_Long who is a member on here. He serviced my steez baitcaster and now its smoother than ever. Also got my daiwa outta luck serviced with a clean and boca bearing upgrade I'm a very happy camper. BTW, your rod and reel collection was a real treat to look at
