Thanks for the tips. I went there prepared for the weeds and we ended up boating 2 smallies and 5 largies all in the 2.5-3lb range. No hogs but still had a great time. All fish were caught on various texas rigged plastics. We were expecting overcast weather with chance of rain but it was mostly sunny and we got toasted lol.

I saw the same thing at Cordova lake last month. Hundreds of them, dead on the water surface.

I googled creek chub and fall fish and they both look like this fish. Torpedo shaped and the mouth was shallow and very rounded. Black back with silver sides.

A buddy of mind caught this at Cordova lake. Hard to tell from pics but this fish doesn't have sucker type mouth. Some of these caught were a foot long. I was thinking it was a chub but not sure. Any ideas what type of fish this is?

4-5" is a good size

Big tubes always seem to work for pike when the bite slows down on reaction baits.
