You Folks are in for some cool Cat Fishing TV Shows coming soon to TV. I spent the last few days setting up a few awesome Cat shows! What a great time. First I went off with the Boys from (Extreme Angler )Karl & Dave. We were slamming huge cats from 18 to 20lbs ... Thanks Guys for coming down to Dunnville Extreme Angler Slide Show This week Pete Bowman and his crew from Fish n Canada came out. The fishing was tough at first but we managed to find some huge cats in deep water. Landing some over the 20lb range> It was a blast fishing with you Pete and Mike I had a great time ... Thanks for the Plug Gerritt....it was nice meeting you today msbhunter hope you enjoyed your day Cat fishing ...as for Carp and if you wana catch huge Carp you might want to try the Lower Grand River Dunnville its full of Lunker Carp ...another week or so you will see them all up dropping their eggs close to shore ..report of a guy fishing the other day landed 20 Carp from 12 to 30lbs while fishing Cats with Worms ..once he switched to the Cat bait it was none stop Cats ..

Next weekend is going to be +18 here get out here before the big girls head back to the lake ..

Another fine day on the Grand .Meet up with some guys from Toronto today for a afternoon hunting Kittys tried 3 different spot today on the Lower Grand River and every spot we tried it was FISH ON none stop all day ...it was a pleasure fishing with you 2 today see ya in a week or 2 for some Lake Ontario Kings .. Boated over 40 fish today from 5lbs to 19lbs from 12:30pm till 4:30pm all on Cut Bait with Circle Hooks and a heavy 3oz Slip Sinker ..here are a few pics from today .. Back out on the Grand today where Bern and I were fishing the other night, no hits after 10 minutes so my client and I headed off to another spot. We managed to find the fish and in a couple of hours landed 14 channel cats while losing only two. It was a great day on the water with some nice cats ranging in weight from 5lbs to 21lbs. Right now the Channel Cats are definately biting. Thanks to the Guys that stopped by today... Nice Cats. Great seeing some board members out there enjoying the weather lately.

No Carp for me Sonny Boy ..

Hit Lake Ontario today with Noofy to see if the Kings were around yet …we fished 220fow to 6 fow marked a few fish deep but didn’t have the riggers on the boat to get down to 100+ ft had a good hit in 130 but lost it …water needs to warm up a tad more for the Kings ..water was 38.6 out deep and 44 was the warmest we found in close 6 fow ….it was a nice flat day to be out searching for the Silvers ..even know we didn’t manage any Silvers we found a Brown and a thing with lips snaged in the back ..Nice Brown Noofy ..lol Thanks for joining me today … Thougth I was fishing with Sonny lol..fish with lips

What a week away from this never ending winter ...all I can say is it was a blast. The best trip away, being in Mexico with Bernadette aka Jen ...We had awesome weather great food and met some awesome people...If you haven't been to Mexico you might want to plan a trip there some day. Let me start by saying that people in Cancun Mexico work their butts off to make sure you have a great time! Now for the fishing ... Fishing Sailfish is like a big tug of war... line ripping, fish jumping and arms burning. It was a great warm up for Salmon fishing this April ...We managed to boat 2 Bonito , landed 7 for 9 Sailfish, from 130lbs and under. Here is a little slideshow of some fish we caught hope you enjoy ... If you have the urge to go Sailfishing in Cancun Mexico you have to hook up with this guy. He had us on fish within 45 minutes of hitting the water, our 8 hour charter lasted 5 hours before we decided to call it a day... We had the time of our lives. Ive been readin all along .... Bosc i always have Minnows ..just don't eat them i might have caught them in the Grand ...ya there is no fish in the grand ....

What a Pleasant way to end a 2008 Ice Season Fishing has been pretty awesome on Lake Erie this winter still plenty of ice on he Big Pond .. If your looking to finish up your ice season try lake erie …Thanks Tony your Big N Floats have been killler for perch this winter ..

90% of guys there are targeting fish that are outa season ...Walleye Closed Trout Closed ...as for the river being not safe to eat fish your on crack buddie ..keep reading your books ..

The ice in the marina is 12 to 14 inches... will hold for a while yet.

March Break Crappies Was a beauty day to sit outside and fish …Zack Chris and I thought after playing with minnows all morning we would try our luck for some Crappies’s in the marina. Fish were on for me but Zack and Chris just couldn’t get a hook set. I landed some nice slabs! It looks like spring Slab fishing is going to be very good. Ice was 12 to 15” thick…Now is the time to get the Kids out and enjoy fishing on March Break …Fishmaster Here is a shot from a couple of days ago when I was out crappie fishing in the evening. Another hand caught Bowfin…guess these darn things like getting their picture taken

And don't pull the teatherl cord ..was up in Haliburton and my buddie was crossing water and desided to wave to all of us as he was going buy forgetting his teather cord was on his waving hand ..lets just say the sled sunk in 40 fow ..lol..

There is no need to go out to EC-10 we fished there all morning not even a bite ..ice was thin out there also ..ended up fishing right close to shore around all the huts ..

Another great day out on hard water... Fishlips managed to haul in a lot of big fish today, outfishing both lefty and I using a small buckshot and a Big N Float... We were fishing out of St. Williams, about 107 fish caught between the three of us, what a day. A special thank you to Propers Fish Huts for helping us get on the fish today... Get out there while the bite is on! A reminder to carry your licences, insurance and ownerships, wear your helmets if running out on sleds or quauds. Ministry was there checking everyone that came in ... Watch your limits, it's 50 perch per person... Ice was 12" to 13" in close and varies out by EC-10 from 12" to 6" in some spots. Water was clear in some spots and not in others.
