  9. Musky in Simcoe? Might as well play the lottery, you'll be warmer ... I've SEEN one ... in my life
  10. Last time I checked, that usually depends on the species' in which you are targetting, time of year, water temp etc.
  11. We had an Open Pike tournament on May 10- I brought in a 38.75 inch pike Barrie Bassmasters Women and Childrens event on Orr Lake I had a 4.30 pound smallie Barrie Bassmasters Qualifier on Cooch I had a 4.40 pound largie Bass Pro Series #4 on Balsam I had a 4.70 pound smallie. I thought for sure I'd have it on Dalrymple with a 5.12 largie, but I got beat with a 5.48 And on Muskoka with a 4.7 smallie, I got beat with a 6.15 largie !!
  12. A goal I set for myself EVERY year is to weigh a limit in every tournament... I didnt quite get it this year, but out of 81 fish that I could have weighed, I weighed 75 .... thats a 92.59% Catch Rate Although, my goal for years has been to win Angler of the Year in our 60 member bass club. This year I finally succeeded and won it. I also won the Classic for our BPS Series. This year I won 6 tournaments, 2 championships, and 4 BIG FISH prizes .... I achieved many goals. I also weighed 2- 5 pound largies in one tournament ... thats been a goal for a while.
  13. Jig colour depends 100% on the forage in which you are imitating. Personally, I throw a black jig about 80% of the time, although certain things call for certain changes... I customize my skirts a lot ... When I'm fishing docks ... there are usually lots of bluegill that hang around ... I use a jig thats green pumpkin, and I add some black and orange strands and use a blue trailer .... this is a great bluegill imitation, and will often outfish any other jig in these areas. I had a lot of success this year swimming a white/purple jig this year, in areas that have good numbers of shiners, smelt or alewives. As far as trailers go, I've grown to love the new Strike King Rage Tail Series.
  14. definitely a largie .... but not a bluegill that he munched on
  15. WOW
  16. I visited my dad's friends cottage about 6 years ago. His wife is Polish, and her whole family was there aswell. They made a big carp dinner. I had no idea it was carp until after, but I wasnt a big fan of it to begin with. It's not awful ... but not exactly appealing either.
  17. He has 3 misconducts .... thats 30 mins right there, which are served, but the team is not penalized. Without those, he'd have only 47 minutes, still a lot. But thats his role. I'm not going to argue my opinion anymore. I said he;s an idiot. his off ice antics are ridiculous. However; He's a valuable player to any franchise.
  18. My opinion had nothing to do with the fact that he's an idiot. I know hes an idiot. My point was to the people that have such a strong opinion about how he's not a good hockey player, when in fact they dont follow hockey, and dont really know what value he has. He's paid 4 million a season for a reason.
  19. If there were stats for "penalties drawn" you would know his value ... every penalty drawn is a power play and an advantage he gave his team. Value is not all about numbers.
  20. Everyone deserves an opinion, and while I think he crossed the line, I think people are blowing it out of proportion. Honestly, how many people on here follow HOCKEY enough to know Sean Avery. Most "hockey" fans, are Leafs fans, or Habs fans, or Sens fans, or Red Wings fans. You follow your team, and not the whole league. People who say he doesnt belong in hockey have no clue. Sean Avery is a player who puts up decent numbers every season. He'll never be a league leader, or even a team leader, but he had like 35 points last season, and he only played 50 or 60 games. Those are good numbers, and makes him a valued player. On top of that, Sean Avery is a pest, he gets under peoples' skin, he draws penalties and that WINS games. Any team, ANY team would benefit with the addition of Sean Avery. Like him or not, Sean Avery is a valuable player to any team in the league, idiot or not.
  21. 5 mins from Bass Pro? He's in business because his markups are ridiculous and the suckers that pay it keep him around.
  22. I guess the click button is a pretty difficult concept. ... looks like you're not too shabby of a cameraman yourself, I mean, you missed the face and all... but poop happens right lol, just kidding with ya. Nice largie
