  1. I know, jealousy will get us nowhere but don't stop the reports.
  2. Anyone heard of any problems with the touch screen? Pretty sweet deal with the rebate. Does one really need a kidney? Down to one since the divorce.
  3. :blahblah1: :blahblah1: :blahblah1: Another bunch of lawneyes.... :blahblah1: :blahblah1: I'm beginning to see where the anger came from in youre last report. Will have to agree with Rob on this one. Great video Simon and yes, thanks for the report.
  4. On Mom's car there are boosting terminals where the battery probably should be..
  5. I'll get there some day but not rushing to go for the opener. Spent enough money this year on fishing gear....I think.
  6. Good report Mike, nice to see that through tough conditions you managed a few. Nice looking camp as well.
  7. Any day on the water is a good day, a couple of nice trips for you.
  8. Safe trip Randy!
  9. All this jealousy and hatred towards you Simon (all in good fun I'm sure). I appreciated the break in my day watching your videos and reports, don't stop! lol! We all would like to post how envious we are of you soon. Thanks for the report and good fishing!!
  10. As far as I know it is OK, worked great when I left. The boat hasn't seen water since I saw you last. Fixing a few more things during the week if time allows and perhaps have it in the water this weekend again. Thanks again for your help Bernie!!
  11. That's a brute! I may have to find a spot to kill a couple of hours close to home during the week nights.
  12. My mom's Dodge is the same (Intrepid I think). Ridiculous. Two things I look for in a vehicle when purchasing, can I change the head lights and the battery without ripping apart the the front end of the car. Guaranteed these things will go on the coldest winter day. At least they have in the past. lol!
  13. Lol. I've always found them to be fair and knowledgeable. You should be OK with Larry taking care of you.
  14. Good fishing Pete!!
  15. I'd pull it out of there as well. I've dealt with Robinson Marine on hwy 35 north of Lindsay before and have always had good service from them on a few boats now. (Larry was the tech the last time I was there) Discount Marine in the central GTA is good as well. (Bill is the tech I dealt with there) If you don't mind the tow, than Giesler Marine in Powassan has a good group of guys working there.
  16. Good fishing Team Frown!
  17. Just back from our fly in trip and I think we saw 2 skeeters and a couple dozen black flies and that was on our last day. Who would have thought a trip to northern Ontario could be a bug free event at the end of May. I'm a firm believer in the Thermocell or the OFF clip on. Have use both on our fly in trips over the years with great success. Calm conditions are best for either.
  18. There certainly are enough knowledgeable people here to help you and possible someone in your area to pop by for extra help if needed. Keep a few bucks in your pocket for gas. They are very easy to install.
  19. A great piece of paradise that you have there Simon, life looks good! Thanks for the video, I always enjoy them. Tightlines!
  20. Sad news Albert, sorry for your loss. Been down that road a few times and it is never an easy one to travel.
  21. With the Wynne government looking to sweep away the Chinook (non-native species) stocking programs and destroying a multi-million dollar a year industry in favour of Atlantics (Millions wasted there already) and Lake Trout, they will not be getting my vote. Like they were anyways. Taken from another board. "Through rulings of the Supreme Court of Canada and continuing dialogue with Aboriginal Peoples, MNR has an improved understanding of Aboriginal and Treaty Rights and how they may affect the allocation of fisheries than when SPOF II was developed. " The main reason to stock only native species including Atlantics/Lake Trout and not Chinooks is Aboriginals are allowed to net native species as part of their treaty rights. 22. I certainly can relate to the driving part vs spending time on the water. Been loving the north shore of Lake Ontario. Big fish and close to home. Over the years though, the scenery in Campbell River BC while fishing for salmon, snow capped mountains, bald eagles, seals, killer whales are etched into my mind. The seafood chowder that was served at Painters Lodge to this day is second to none. Great Bear was a magical place with it never getting dark. The highlight was fishing for grayling off of the floats of a twin otter but the lake trout fishing was crazy as well. Several other trips are planted firmly in my brain but we are truly lucky to have some of the best fishing and scenery in the world, right here in Ontario at a fraction of the cost. And of course I never get tired of the view from Bernie's Place.
  23. Note to self - If ever packing bear spray make sure it is packed in a separated container and well sealed. LOL!! That was pretty funny but am glad it wasn't me that got sprayed. Very nice report, sounds like a great trip!!
  24. Fantastic shots and good fish too! Thanks for the report!
  25. You don't want to know what happened the first time I used mine then. You'll never get one.
