  1. I also don't believe fish feel pain (at least not in their mouth). If they did, they would only eat soft things not spiny fish or crustaceans. Imagine putting a spiny perch in your mouth and chomping down on a dorsal fin, or a catfish and getting one of those spines in the roof of your mouth...you would never eat a perch or a catfish again. And of course we know that doesn't happen. I believe fish fight because they are being pulled in a direction against their will, not because of pain. If you stop pulling the fish stops fighting. Seen lots of fish just sit quietly in one spot if you stop reeling.

  2. There is no penalties for accidentally catching a bass out of season as long as you release it immediately but if you keep catching them without catching more of the fish you were there to catch that are in season , you can get a hefty fine and lose you license to fish for a few years , if they really want you could lose your boat , trailer and the vehicle that towed it

  3. I had a customer visit me recently and he had supplied some of the components he wanted me to use as a cost saving measure. I was not big on the idea as I was certain in short order he would not be happy with the end result, so I talked him out of it in favour of this one off design based on my earlier seamless fore grip reel seats. Fairly inexpensive but definitely shows that the rod is custom work. He is extremely happy with the direction change.

  4. Buy a charger that is meant for lithium batteries and charge it every time you come off the water
