My favourite time of year! I finish work at 8pm which gives me a good half hour to unwind at my dock. This time of year the walleyes are on in my bay for a couple of weeks. Nothing better than grabbing a bucket of minnows and a slip bobber and watching the sun go down.

So ya, another pie. Caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes and Anchovies. No tomato sauce, just fine Olive Oil and a wee bit of fresh Mozz I needed to use up atop home made pizza dough. Bon Appetite.

I was at Grimsby Tackle the other day and the young man there said Port Weller over to the Niagara Bar. Look for bait on the specific day as they will be right under the bait.. A friend of mine has been jigging up Salmon over on the Canadian side of the Bar for the last month. That would be a fun way to get them as they will be getting bigger and stronger this time of year. Usually this time of year you would see the salmon moving stateside around now.

My 30hp Johnson would constantly get a spider in the tube and I'd have to clear it out with a bottom bouncer. I started putting a golf tee into the tube every time I'm done with the boat and problem solved.

Water is extremely high right now, they have opened the waboose and summit dams currently. Everything including the spawn is two weeks behind so in 3 weeks it should still fish like early June. The reservoir is full of lumber so if I were you I would focus on mojikit. Check out Mike Borgers site for his trip report on mojikit or contact Chris Brock on here he was there with Mike.
