Hello, I was looking to book a week at a fishing lodge in August, ideally no more than 4-5 hours from Toronto. I have spent several years in the Georgian bay area (Parry Sound, Pointe Au Baril). Ideally fishing for bass or pike I have been looking at a couple lodges on the French River (Wolseley Lodge, Chaudiere Lodge), I just have never personally fished on the French River Just wondering if anyone had any good recommendations on lodges or cottages? If I had a time machine, first place I'd travel back to would be when Noah is loading two of each species on his Ark. . . and as he brought the 2 black flies, I'd say "Whoa Noah, leave those behind with the Unicorns, we don't need them"

Tonight's supper was bacon-wrapped halibut chunks, oven-sauteed wild leeks, and fries. It was fairly toothsome. But I am not much of a picture-taker when it comes to food. My wife thinks taking a picture of a meal is downright BIZARRE. (Yes, we are not exactly millenials...) 😉 Hey SINKER! Better haul your butt down here while I still have a piece of halibut for you!
