limeyangler Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Hi all, Our bay iced over last night, some areas of open water in the main basin visible from our shore but with three days of light winds and -20C temps midweek should lock up everything. Bit of a bummer that we have 10cm to 15cm of snow forecast tomorrow Β to insulate the new ice, but itβs better than the three feet some parts of Ontario are getting, you can keep that sh$&! I was looking back at my first ice post on here from last year, we are a day short of 2 weeks later this year, hopefully we have an ice road before Xmas. Might get out somewhere on Sunday, will post if I do. Β Β Edited 3 hours ago by limeyangler 1
AKRISONER Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago we were battling some really warm lake temps here parry sound was still in the high 40's last weekend, but that snow acted like a giant ice cube and sure enough i got word that some ice has started forming close to shore in the back bays. The inland lakes have also skimmed over...we of course are also due for a clipper mid week which I wish would be cold rather than snow, beggers cant be choosers though after last year.
