Fishing articulated streamers

I would like to fish number 2 articulated streamers.  Will there be any issues with a 7/8 line on a 7 weight rod? Or are they made for each other? Please advise.

I've used 8 wgts quite a bit. Not too big for bass, and can handle pike and muskie. I like the articulated with a lot of marabou.

Up around Muskoka region, really like it there. Next spring I'd like to set a little fishing group. Find a couple of experienced anglers, see some new waters.
