We usually see musicians and movie stars posted here but this man influenced Canadians' lives more than most of the entertainment types. I know politics are frowned upon here--this is not meant to be a partisan politics post.

He was one of the one's who cared about people, and not to pocket $.

Today's leaders Re useless and only care about themselves and ego.

He said this about Medicare when it was about to be put into effect: "...........we cannot afford the social and economic consequences of our failure to do so. In an industrial country such as ours, we cannot afford the loss to the economy stemming from ill health.”
