skdds Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 Hi Guys, I'm going to be kayaking for a few hours around the mouth of the Humber river and near shore on Lake O this weekend. What's biting now..any suggestions? Salmon? Bass? Carp? tx skdds
porkpie Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 You have a shot at salmon if you target 20-40 foot of water. There's already small numbers of fish in some tributaries and the cooler nights will push fish into the harbour mouths. You could probably do ok very shallow at first light. There are tons of fish staging in 60fow at the moment off of other tribs. Try trolling some deep diving cranks, and have fun.
John Bacon Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 I think there would be plenty of bass, pike, and browns around in addition to have a shot at some Chinooks.
skdds Posted September 3, 2016 Author Report Posted September 3, 2016 Thanks I'll give it a go, short trip out so gonna need to pack light- spinnerbait, a few senkos, and a few deep diving cranks per porkpie's advice. Hope I can get something!
