wask Posted December 26, 2015 Report Posted December 26, 2015 This is a project boat so it's unlikely it's stolen or anything. Is it possible to get new title and registration with bill of sale? Thanks!
ecmilley Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 trailer is done through mto, not usually a problem, affadavit required. boats were done through service canada, not sure now if they are, the more documentation u have the easier it will be to change over
Fish Farmer Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 (edited) If you didn't know. The boat should have a serial # on the transom on the upper starboard side, the last 2 #'s is the year it was made. Serial #'s and boat registration # as ecmilley mentioned above if possible. Motojoe Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Hi Wask, Try this web http://www.tc.gc.ca/wwwdocs/Forms/84-0166E_1210-14_E.pdf
Old Ironmaker Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Last fall we copied the application for Boat registration on line from Service Canada. Had to take photos of the serial #s on the hull and engine as well as coloured pics of the boat. to prove the description of it. Showed those photos to our Lawyer and got an notarized affidavit from him confirming that. And sent it back after making copies, sent to New Brunswick if I remember. Received all the paper work in a week. Registered the trailer with On. MOT. They didn't ask for proof of anything and issued a new ownership and new plate.
