Dave Bailey Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 I think I've eaten more than that at Thanksgiving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNYG0JD7Ot8
Fisherman Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 For some reason, I've got some reservations about going down a river with pointy rocks.
Dave Bailey Posted March 23, 2015 Author Report Posted March 23, 2015 Dacron is pretty tough, hang-gliders are covered in it.
Beavertail Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Now that is a canoe I wouldn't mind portaging for a change! It looks like it would be fun to play around in too, turns on a dime.
woodenboater Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Interesting and have seen other builds that use beefier ribs and planks. I will say though that seeing people switch sides every stroke drives me crazy ! Learn proper strokes and pick a side. Every paddler should know j's, pries and draws. ok, I feel better...

Seems strange to go through all the trouble of building your own craft but don't know how to properly paddle it! Edited March 23, 2015 by Beavertail
woodenboater Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) best thing paddlers can do is take a whitewater course and learn river reading and paddle skills, skills which do translate into flat water paddling. Edited March 23, 2015 by woodenboater
