fishing n autograph Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Hey All, I was thinking of doing some steelheading in erindale park in Mississauga. Had anyone been down there lately? Thanks in advance, Dave
icefisherman Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 It is probably all frozen solid with all the recent cold. Cheers, Ice Fisherman
porkpie Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 I'd bet you would find some open water given there was a bit of a melt and the weather since hasn't been terribly cold. I havent fished it in eons however, but when we where young and stupid, and not old enough for a drivers license we used to go to erindale by train and bus to get a winter fix. Some of the faster sections would stay open in all but the coldest winters. I wouldn't say them fishing was great though.... LOL. Good luck!
salmon Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Several days ago the water was high and dirty. This was early this week. There is always open water at the Credit
fishing n autograph Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 Jchau if you're near the park again anytime soon let me know I might head down there this week
Pikeslayer Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Hey Dave, Short of stopping & parking @ Erindale, I can share this based on my daily travels; -Ice above Streetsville dam just opened up after last weekend's mini thaw. -river is still locked in @ Croatian park south of Eglington -locked in @ QEW bridge -haven't seen a vehicle parked on Missy road south of Dundas in weeks I could be wrong but my guess would be the Credit is probably locked up @ Erindale? & it's only gonna get colder later this week.
fishing n autograph Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 Cool thanks. I had an office at burnhamthorpe and credit view so I was at the park almost daily but since I switched jobs in 2006 I'm never in that area anymore
