While walking Ralphie on our neighbourhood path, I saw a heron looking for lunch. On the way back, he was still there but in a different place along the river. Walked home a bit faster than usual, grabbed the camera and crossed my fingers it would still be there when we got back. It was :)

Very very nice, Babe. Seems you're always running home for the camera. You need a packsack! :)

Ya, I know. It's just heavy so I need something where it is accessible in the front, but the weight is not too bad to lug around when walking!

Great pictures Joey, those birds are usually pretty rare this time of year, at least in my area.

I was very surprised to see it there Lew. Very dense brush and not alot of area to take off for a bird that size.

Great shots Joey...its a definite sign we are on the better side of the solstice...The bird looks pretty healthy from the migration..
