Small, green floating plant/algae

North end of Pigeon. For the last month or more.

 

Lots of wind blown, bright green small clumps of plant life on the surface.

 

Don't remember it last year. Anybody know what this is. Sorry, no pic

Checked Wiki. You might be right but the green stuff is awfully tiny. Looks more like algae to me

Not just your normal turnover algae??
