Live2fish85 Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Hey everyone. Was just wondering about the fishing around the camp ground or with in a half hour. I will be going up in July around the 6th. Is there any decent fishing around there? Any info would be great, feel free to pm if you would rather. Thanks.
Musky or Specks Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Parkhill and Morrison conservation areas for Largemouth and here and there on the Ausable river for pike
Twocoda Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 if your taking the boat...head south of Kettle Point and there is a free launch at Bluewater boat launch...then head north to Kettle point and you will get Salmon Bows and Lakers and tight to the point youll get a mixed bag of Bass Walleye and Browns
Live2fish85 Posted May 14, 2012 Author Report Posted May 14, 2012 Thanks. I appreciate the help. I should have a boat with me.
Ralph Field Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 My friend used to catch big crappie in the river that runs through the camp.
Thrilla Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Be very careful if you have never fished near the kettle point before, it can go from 30' to 5' very quick, keep an eye on your depth, lots of big boulders but the fishing has been great this year
