Machine57 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Looking at booking up at Bay Lee Mac Camp either July or August. It is located on Rib Lake and is just north of Temagami itself. Apparently Cliff lake nearby is a walk through the bush to get to. Can anyone comment on their experiences at the camp good or bad and if it is possible to portage to cliff lake to fish also. Thanks, Dan
irishfield Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I can tell you that the owners are some nice people, but have no intel on fishing the lake.
Nipfisher Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 I have some friends who access a cottage (only a few on Rib Lake) a couple times per year. They catch some big walleye but no real #s. The 2 of them will only catch 6-8 eyes on a weekend trip. They have fished the lake for more than 10 years and still can't locate any #s. Just the odd one here and there. Average size of the ones they caught last summer were 22"-24".
Musky or Specks Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 Don't know a lot about Rib but you can haul a small boat over to Friday(Roosevelt RD) for some decent Bass Fishing. All in all though I'd just get a place on Temagami itself.
