Lunker777 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Hey everyone A group of us ( about 4-6 guys) want to take a weekend trip in the near future. With the HORRIBLE weather we have been having here in SWO, we are looking to travel north in search of some fish/ICE ! We are thinking a weekender to Simcoe is in line. What are some places you would suggest for a trip like this. We live in Chatham-Kent and are willing to drive 5-6 hours north... maybe more if its worth it. Any suggestions for a clean, "affordable" trip ? Looking to get into some jumbos or some nice pike. Thanks

Lunker777 Posted January 24, 2012 Author Report Posted January 24, 2012 Everyone seems pretty tight lipped.... No one wants to give up those precious ice spots with a year like this ! haha
registerfly Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 GTG on Lake Nipissing, Callander Bay. Just sayin. Just booked my overnight hut yesterday! should be fun, son's got a couple days off after exams
johnnyb Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Nip has been pretty solid for offering up jumbos with a shot at decent pike and eyes....herring can be fun too. Bit of a drive, but, easy walking out to decent action....or just call around and get a day hut
