peter23 Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 hey guys, i have a shimano calcutta 400 TE and i used it for this past season. these reels are quite pricey so i want to take care of it because of all the strain on it for the musky lures. i was wondering if anyone knew a good place where i can get my reel serviced? (fixed up, cleaned, etc? ) thanks
GBW Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 that all depends on where you are located.
irishfield Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Walk it right into the shop in Peterborough... that said, I haven't seen a need for that yet after numerous years on my two. Maybe I should actually oil them this year though....
peter23 Posted December 20, 2011 Author Report Posted December 20, 2011 i am located in toronto sorry, and ya i was looking into bringing it to the shimano place in peterborough
irishfield Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Shimano Canada Ltd. Reel Repair Service 427 Pido Rd. Peterborough, ON. K9J 6X7 They're in the industrial park on the south side of the #7 bypass...
spinnerbaitking Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) I've mailed my reels to Shimano in the past & they mail it back, just add the insurance in case something happens, a lot farther for me to drive though SBK Edited December 20, 2011 by spinnerbaitking
ah_long Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I would suggest you to DIY, it't not that hard, you're just doing a clean and lube, no point of spending $50 on gas and fees just to do that... I'm sure some OFNer would do it for a 6 pack
