northernpike56
Hey all I have been wondering where is a good place to try for some jumbo perch to eat? I fish at lasalle marina whenever I get the time but I dont think I could eat them given theyre out of hamilton harbour. One night I landed (and threw back) about 30 10-14 inchers from lasalle! Would any other spots out of lake O have edible perch? or should I go to somewhere like port dover or port maitland or some conservation areas to get them? Thanks in advance, your help is greatly appreciated Matt
dave524
Seen a few good catches out of a couple marinas on the south shore just east of Hamilton, marinas are not fishermen friendly at least until the boats come out though.
Skipper D
They should be good to eat where your catching them , thats upstream so to speak if i read right , down stream in the St Lawence people are eatting them there where you'd think all the crap would end up and i've never heard of any one getting sick from them yet , the fish health any where west of Hamilton should be at its best but what do i know .........
