Been up in Nakina the last week and missed this.

 

Very glad your trip went well Julian, great recap!

 

Where in Nakina? We were up the kapik river moose hunting, or should i say fishing!

The last night again around the fire was spent just enjoying the moment and realizing that life is too short to make excuses to not do this kind of stuff.

 

I couldn't agree with you anymore. If even for a couple of days, it is soooo worth doing. Thanks for the report.

Good on you for not letting excuses get in the way...it is easy to let too many years go by without a good trip.

 

Been in that Otter..."I looove the smell of Av fuel in morning!!! Smells like....adventure"

 

By the way, that beach in your fourth picture is a perfectly comfortable place to sleep in early May. (as long as you are wearing seven layer of clothes, a north face jacket, a sleeping bag and a blue tarp! Speaking from experience here...)
