BryceBurzynski Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Where are some Grand River fishing spots? I would really appreciate if I was some good fishing spots on the Grand, especially if you knew some good fishing spots in the Kitchener area. Thanks.

jediangler Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Nothing but carp to fish for in the Kitchener area of the Grand until mid-May. You could try behind the Grand Hotel. There is some good carp fishing there.
PatrickGG Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Yea theres plentiful carp in the grand and there is some really good hot spots But thats just something you need to explore just like lots of others do so. P.S Don't forget your bug spray in the summertime the bugs can get nasty.
PERCHER Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 This time of the year I prefer the lower Grand.Lots of big cats.we also have done well in the summer months for walleye.
express168 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 In the Kitchener area, I have fished Conestoga Lake, I have caught some good Pike at the bottom of the dam. Also some good bass and pike on the lake itself.
BryceBurzynski Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 Hey, thanks for the great tips! and express168 I'm going to conostogo lake in the late spring and summer, I will remember the dam! Thanks everyone.
Marko Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Check Elora Gorge, there should be some trout hiding in there. I go there often and most of the time catch something.
BryceBurzynski Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 Thanks Marko, I don't leave far from there, so I might check it out!
