Liquor....1.14L of spirits, 1.5L of wine,or 24 bottles or cans of beer.(8.5L) After 7 days absence...C$750 Tobacco...200 Cigarettes and 50 Cigars and 200g of Tobacco Liquor....1.14 litres of liquor or 1.5 litres of wine. What about for visitors to Canada? In-laws (non-canadian) came over couple weeks ago and plan to go shopping in the states. However, I have not been able to find any information regarding customs & duty-free allowances for them Thanks for the help!
SmokestackLightnin Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 The restrictions you list are for Residents returning to Canada. You will need to look up Non-Residents entering Canada, but since they are visiting, why not shop Canadian.
okumasheffield Posted May 27, 2011 Author Report Posted May 27, 2011 http://www.traveldocs.com/ca/customs.htm thanks for the help, but that website does not have the information I need
fishing Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 Visitors in Canada are treated as Canadian Residence. Do not have to be a Canadian.
