10point Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Heading up to Dog lake in Missanabie the week of June 13th-17th with my Son and my Dad. My Dad's friend has a retreat like center that is actually up for sale that we are staying at. He mentioned that the bugs might be bad at that time. What should I prepare for? Since we are getting free accomadations if it's too bad I guess we can just leave and go home.
anders Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 (edited) Bugs...June...Not in Northern Ontario hahaha Seriously...prepare for the worst...your gonna get it! Edited May 10, 2011 by anders
Guest ThisPlaceSucks Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Bring a bug jacket...and pants... and the bug patch... and DEET... and if you don't smoke, you should start!
solopaddler Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Just stay home it's not worth it. (You'll be fine out in the boat, and that's really all that matters anyway)
Roy Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 I'd be careful...how much does your son weigh? You'll be fine. A little preparedness goes a long way.
