Had a long eared smash into our bedroom window a couple weeks ago being chased by 3 crows. He fell into the window planter box and appeared stunned for a bit. He sat up and looked around to see what had happened and where the crows were. The crows took turns dive bombing him for about 20 minutes then got tired of the game and finally left at which point the owl took flight to the nearest bunch of cedar trees no worse for wear. Also remember having a snowy owl in our yard as a kid great birds!!

This one seems to be staying in the same area just north of Rice Lake. There was also a flock of ~200 snow buntings nearby with a merlin cutting through them. Didn't see it get one but they were driven out of the area pretty quickly.
