Mack Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 I am from Windsor and I am relatively new to fishing. I don't have a boat. Does anyone have any ideas on good places to fish in the area from the shore (that doesn't involve climbing fences or guard dogs)? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.
I'mHooked Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 On some of the fishing shows filmed on the Detroit river I'm sure I've seen people fishing from a wall/pier along the river side Looked to be a downtown type of area. I'd head down to the water front and see what's going on. Maybe strike a conversation with people fishing the wall and see what they're using and trying to catch. I think I recall Walleye being something to catch there.

Chrispy Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Hey Mack, try down at the city marina....Belle River marina isn't too bad, just have to walk the rocks to get to the lake.....and there is some other spots near Wally's Bait Shop.....go into Wally's and ask Bill or one of the guys, they will point you in the right direction..... Chrispy!
Musky or Specks Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 I got a few smallies and eyes while I was at University from 83-87 right down by the Ambassador Bridge. Also while down there for baseball eliminations for my son back in 2007. We camped at Holiday Beach Conservation Area and did quite well for silver and smallies wading along the beach
Mack Posted November 17, 2010 Author Report Posted November 17, 2010 Thanks everyone. I have seen a few spots where people have gathered and will check them out. I will also looked at skunked.ca. Thanks again.
