Guest nuker Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 i have a bow mount transducer for my sonar that is strapped to the bottom of my trolling motor. i can't figure out a good way to run the wiring without it being annoyingly in the way, hit by the prop, or getting pinched when over steering, etc... pics would help, thanks!
spoon Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42097 Member "Randy from Sturgeon" has a diagram that you can use. Use zip-ties to connect the cable to the shaft. good luck
mercman Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Yup, what spoon said. You still have to be really careful when lifting and stowing motor so as not to pinch the cable in the mechanism.
Terry Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 some of the power head trolling motors you can't put it on the shaft except at the very bottom because shaft slides all the way through the power head each time you stow it
