Proof that “2 is equal to 1”

 

You are correct. In math, division by "zero" is not allowed because it is undefined.

And (a - b ) has a value of zero because the very first line established that "a = b".

Using X2 for area is only one way of using exponents. Acceleration, reproduction, evaporation and other rates are often exponential. Using 2 is not exclusive to area. Afterall 100 is just 102

Carpstarter, it's cool the reason it is undefined, because division by zero gives you different answers depending on which side of zero you sneak up from.
