keram Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 You are right douG. Thanks God we measure money in "strait" units, not as an area (^2), or God forbid volume (^3)
carp-starter Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 douG Proof that “2 is equal to 1” You are correct. In math, division by "zero" is not allowed because it is undefined. And (a - b ) has a value of zero because the very first line established that "a = b". Well done. carp-starter
bigfish1965 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Using X2 for area is only one way of using exponents. Acceleration, reproduction, evaporation and other rates are often exponential. Using 2 is not exclusive to area. Afterall 100 is just 102
douG Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Carpstarter, it's cool the reason it is undefined, because division by zero gives you different answers depending on which side of zero you sneak up from.
