oates Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 Was thinking of going for some perch etc. on simcoe (shore fishing), but I see it is expected to rain with chance of thunder tonight. Would I be wasting my time trying for them in the rain?
Roy Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 As long as you stay dry and comfortable, I see no reason why it would be worse with rain in the mix. But perch are not night feeders so try to get that stuff done before nightfall.
brifishrgy Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 I prefer fishing Barrie in the rain .. it keeps most people away and more room for me .. a good rain coat and warm dry boots and your good to go .. let me know how ya make out .. I want to go down on Thursday
bigugli Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 Rain is good. Thunder and lightning not good. I have this thing about holding a lightning rod in my hands out in the open.
danbouck Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 I've always had a lot of luck perch fishing in Erie in the rain.
