GBW Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Hey all. So I went to LeBaron today at lunch and picked up a Wally Diver CD7 and a Rapala Deep Tail Dancer TDD11 for this weekend. I have a spot in mind on the lake (20' to 30' drop off) so my intent was to cast to cover more water rather then troll. Now, I was wondering how deep can I get these lures casting, waiting then reeling in? Are the walleye still going shallow later in the day to feed? I haven't been there in a few weeks... I'll be hunting walleye and if lucky musky, thanks. Geoff
Roy Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 You can get 9-15' casting a wally. You should be able to get a little more out of the dancer. If you fish very early mornings, late afternoons/early evenings or in low light conditions, you shouldn't ever need more depth than that.
GBW Posted November 3, 2009 Author Report Posted November 3, 2009 clear water, go with the wally in Chartreuse/Gold or TDD11 in Bleeding Hot Olive?
