sneak_e_pete Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Heading up to lake Dalrymple next week with my wife's uncle. Never fished there before, although he has been a few times. Any suggestions? I am determined to outfish him. Thanks.
steverowbotham Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 if you're heading there for fun, you may want to choose a different location. There is a big pike tournament there this weekend. So it will either be very busy, or the fish will have taken a pounding by the time you get there. If you do decide to go. Fish 3-7 feet of water around any weeds you can find. Spinnerbait and jerkbaits will take lots of fish.
Rizzo Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 that lake is full of snotrocket pike. If you're happy catching them you should have a great day! Last time I was there we caught 27 pike in the 2-4 pound range but none of any size. Some good size bass in there but they are out of season.
