backyard geese

Hey guys,

 

First time poster in the photography section. Might do it more often. The field behind my house is flooded and the geese are coming in by the dozzens at night to rest and gobble up some corn I guess. My wife is preggo and can't sleep as it is, I find them soothing! lol

 

here's a couple quick shots I took yesterday. Nothing like Brandon's shots - I don't have much a zoom on my camera.

Nice pictures.Like the second one as they are taking off.Nasty creatures as they will stay most of the summer and mess all over my lawn. Their messes are the sizes of dog poo. Not good for grand kids.

Nasty they are. Chose a campground near the St.Lawrence years ago and it was pretty much covered in 'their messes'. We stayed and when it was time to leave, the kids were chasing a few of them, well, not only are those birds nasty, they are smart. About 10 of them began to fly over our set up and 'let it rip'. We had bird dung all over our screen tent...it was nasty but also a bit comical to see us all standing there with shocked expressions.
