hey guys, i'd like to get a decent pair of snowshoes for this winter but i have no idea what kind or size or anything to get. i want a pair for hiking through the deep snow to remote lakes. i dont know what size range i should be looking for but i weigh 160lb and have a size 9 shoe size. what do you guys recommend? i dont want to spend anymore then $150, the cheaper the better but the quality has to be there. thanks!

I've tried just about every different style of shoes.......but I always go back to my original set of traditionals.

I find the new aluminum ones aren't big enough for deep snow, and I've broken 2 sets in the process. I've had my traditional ones for at least 20 years....no probs yet. I would however like to get a set of the Ojibway style shoes......they're nice and long. Real nice for walking long distances on lakes or open country with deep snow.
