Baldy Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Pretty funny considering there are virtually no bass in the province! Most Albertans have never seen a bass, I think there are 1 or 2 lakes in the province that have smallmouth. Lots of pike & pickeral but trout is the big attraction. BPS not much of a fly fishing shop.

Different BPS shops cater to the region in which it is located. Calgary will have a big fly shop
singingdog Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Hopefully it's better than the Ontario BPS. I have gone in twice this year, looking for lures that are widely available in the US, and widely written about in various mags. Both times I have been told by staff "there is no such lure". Thankfully, the place is layed out well enough to find things on my own.
bucktail Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Keep an eye out for the 840 pound full mount polar bear done by advanced, I am pretty sure it is going to be displayed there.
